Artificial turf is a synthetically made surface that looks like natural grass. It is used in both commercial and residential properties.
The use of synthetic grass lawns is seen in commercial areas such as in sports or athletic fields, golf courses, schools or day care centers, condominium sites, and even in shopping complexes.
The main reason why commercial establishments and home owners opt for synthetic turf is because it requires low maintenance as compared to natural grass lawns. Commercial establishments strive so hard to keep their lawns look healthy and green all year round. As a result, they end up spending more money than they want to.
In athletic fields, where most sporting events frequently happen, natural grass is not able to withstand constant and frequent use. Therefore, sports ground owners opt for a more durable artificial turf.
In homes, natural greens prove to be more expensive and difficult to maintain. Natural grass requires frequent trimming and the use of certain pesticides. It also needs constant watering to keep it healthy. Thus, it proves to be more time consuming and more expensive in the long run.
Artificial turf, on the other hand, does not need trimming and watering. It just needs to be cleaned once in a while in order to preserve its quality. So if you plan to go into real estate investing, this would be an effective way to keep the lawn attractive all year round.
